being recalled is because of faulty sun roofs. The sunroofs can shatter and fall on the driver and passengers while in the vehicles. In December, Hyundai announced that they would begin a recall on 13,500, 2012 Velosters for the same problems. Hyundai is currently claiming that sunroof assembly may be shattering because of problems with installations at the factory. The manufacturer has informed that at least five people have suffered injuries due to the Veloster’s sunroof shattering. Fortunately, there have been no crashes recorded involving the sunroof.

The problem was discovered in October. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation after receiving numerous complaints from drivers. These complaints also include Hyundai’s sister company, Kia.

It is Hyundai’s plan to begin informing owners. The dealers will be inspecting sunroofs and replacing them, free of charge. The recall is set to begin next month. For more information, or if you have any questions, you may contact Hyundai at (800) 633-5151 or contact your local Hyundai dealership.

Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the sunroof’s integrity and replace the sunroof glass assembly, as necessary, free of charge. The safety recall will begin in March. Owners may contact Hyundai at (800) 633-5151.

BMW In Recall Problems

BMW 3-Series (E90)

BMW 3-Series (E90) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

BMW is recalling almost 570,000 cars in the U.S. and Canada. The reason these vehicles are being recalled is because a battery cable connector can fail. When these connectors fail it will cause the engines to stall. When engines suddenly stall, passengers in vehicles can be exposed to many accidents.

The recall involves many different models on the product line. 3- Series sedans, wagons, convertibles and coupes from 2007 to 2011 years. The 1- series coupes and convertibles from 2008 to 2012 are also being recalled along with the Z-4.

These cable connectors have a fuse box terminal and can end up degrading over time. The lack of the functionality of these cable connectors can break the electrical connection. When this happens, the vehicle is at risk of losing electrical power. Obviously, this can stop the engine from running.

The cable connectors and a fuse box terminal in the cars can degrade over time, and that can break the electrical connection between the trunk-mounted battery and the fuse box at the front. If that happens, the cars could lose electrical power, causing the engines to stall unexpectedly,

BMW has been informed of one minor collision that has occurred in Canada due to this specific problem. Luckily, there were no injuries in the accident.  BMW plans to start informing the owners next month and will fix any faulty connections free of charge.

The company sold nearly 100,000 of the BMW 3 series in the U.S. last year. The problem is that the recall can affect for than half a million vehicles in the United States and Canada. This has definitely been a year of large recalls, so far. BMW, General Motors and Toyota have all been part of these recalls.

If you or a loved one have been hurt due to a faulty product, it is necessary to speak to the Accident Attorney’s Group. Our attorneys will make sure that you are compensated for your pain, suffering, and vehicle replacement. For more information visit a recall attorney.

South Baldwin residents are being advised to take precaution when they purchase bagel. This is a warning that has been sent out by the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries Consumer Food Safety. They have issued a recall on packaged bagels. The bagels that are being recalled are by Sara Lee, Weight Watchers, Thomas’ and Publix with best-buy dates that range from Jan. 18-27.

According to a Foley Winnie Dixie Store Manager these specific items are being taken off the shelves of grocery stores. Consequently they are being replaced with newer bagels.  The reason these products are being recalled is because their parent company, Bimbo Bakeries, found metal fragments in two packages of bagels.  Even though these metal fragments have been food, there have been no reports of injuries or illnesses due to the product.

Here is a quote from Bimbo’s original recall notice:

“Voluntary Regional Recall of Thomas’, Sara Lee, Publix and Weight Watchers Bagels

HORSHAM, PA – BBU, Inc., the parent of the Bimbo Bakeries companies, has initiated a voluntary recall due to possible presence of fragments of metal caused by a faulty manufacturing part. Recalled products are the following fresh bagels with “Best Buy” dates (month and day) “JAN 18″ to and including “JAN 27″ found on the lock tab bag closures ….”
