Chrysler Group LLC (CG), the American auto maker which manufactures Jeep is recalling year 2010 Jeep Wranglers. The recall is coming to light after the auto maker discovered a faulty transmission on a number of Wrangler sub compact SUV’s. CG announced the recall on the National Highway Traffic and Safety Association (NHTSA) website May 15, 2012.

The head-on collision that sent a baby and parents to a hospital yesterday with serious injuries may have been caused by mechanical failure of the big-rig that hit them.
The accident, which occurred around 7:20 a.m., May 18, 2011 on Highway 395 near Bear Valley Road in Victorville, involved a big-rig that was travelling southbound when it clipped a flatbed truck heading in the opposite direction.
As reported in The Press-Enterprise, according to San Bernardino County Sherriff’s spokeswoman, Karen Hunt, the big-rig then went head-on into a northbound passenger vehicle. An update on the condition of the injured people who were taken to area hospitals has not yet been reported.
Highway 395 was closed in Victorville for 3 ½ hours while investigators examined the accident site.
