Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter May Be Poisoning Your Children
For most people, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are about as American as apple pie. Imagine children across the country opening up their Avengers lunchbox and pulling out a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Many parents feel the lunch favorite is healthy for kids to eat. In fact, many parents go to healthy grocery stores like Trader Joe’s to buy them.
What happens when the healthy store’s house brand is the problem? It’s difficult to imagine, but the evidence is there. Trader Joe’s Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter has been linked to 29 salmonella cases in 18 states. No deaths have been reported.
