Memorial Service Held Today For Woman Killed By Falling Tree In Newport Beach

A memorial service and viewing for Haeyoon Miller, the 29-year-old woman who died Sept. 15 after a falling eucalyptus tree hit her car near the the intersection of Irvine Avenue and 17th Street.

The memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. tonight. This tragic accident has caused the city of Newport Beach to declare that it will be removing more then 150 trees that run along Irvine Avenue.

For those of you interested in the viewing, it will start at 4 p.m today at Harbor Lawn Mount Olive Memorial Park, located at :1625 Gisler Ave..

Haeyoon Miller will be laid to eternal rest at the Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar.

LA Times reported that, Miller, an accomplished violinist, was on her way to the Pix & Flips gym, which she founded with the goal of preparing young children for organized sports.
