Two Separate Las Vegas School Bus Crashes on the Same Day Lead to Injuries

Two separate school bus crashes have occurred today in Las Vegas, according to news stories on 8 News Now. The earlier accident today, October 4, 2011, occurred on Tropicana Avenue near I-15. The school bus and two cars were involved in the collision that injured the school bus driver, the driver of another vehicle, and students.

Forty-for students were on the school bus when the accident occurred, and three of them were taken to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is not currently available. University Medical Center received the injured students and bus driver, and the other driver injured was transported to Valley Hospital.

A second bus crash later occurred in North Las Vegas, near Simmons and Carey. According to police, as reported in the news story, a bus and an SUV collided. No injuries were reported for the occupants of the bus. Four students had been onboard at the time of the crash. The SUV’s driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
