Car Stall Leads to Fatal End in Glendale Freeway
Glendale, CA – A San Pedro woman is dead and two others are injured when their stalled vehicle was crashed on a Sunday afternoon.

A Toyota vehicle hits a stalled 1997 Honda with flashing emergency lights on lane number four of the Glendale 2 Freeway. The Honda began having engine problems and was making its way to the right shoulder when it stalled north of Mountain Street. Unable to stop in time, the Toyota crashed the rear end of the Honda at about 65-70 mph.
A passenger of the Honda, a 45-year old woman from San Pedro, was declared dead at the scene at about 1:30 p.m. Other passengers in the Honda were transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. A 16-year received serious injuries. The driver, a 71-year old had minor injuries. Both are expected to recover. No one in the Toyota was injured.
Glendale Fire Battalion Chief admitted to the area being vulnerable to frequent car accidents.
